How It Works
The workflow is as simple as it gets. Copy any SoundCloud URL -- a single mix, an episode from a series, or even a DJ's entire profile -- and paste it into TrackRadar. Within seconds, we start breaking the mix down into individual tracks.
Our analysis pipeline works through multiple layers. First, we check whether the uploader or community has already provided a tracklist in the description or comments. Many DJs post partial tracklists, and we parse these automatically, handling every common format: numbered lists, timed cue points, or just artist-title pairs separated by dashes.
When a tracklist is incomplete or missing entirely, we go deeper. Our audio recognition engine listens to the mix itself, using fingerprinting to identify tracks even when they are layered, pitched, or blended together. This is significantly harder than identifying a single clean track -- a DJ mix involves transitions, EQ adjustments, and sometimes two or three records playing simultaneously -- but our system handles these challenges by analyzing multiple segments across the full duration.
What "Accuracy" Actually Means Here
Let us be upfront about numbers: we have not yet run a controlled benchmark on SoundCloud mixes, so we will not quote a precise hit rate. What we see in real analyses is that when a mix has a published tracklist, most of it parses correctly, and audio fingerprinting fills in many of the gaps. The tracks we miss are usually deep cuts that do not appear in any commercial database, unreleased edits, or segments where the mixing is so dense that no tool -- human or automated -- can reliably separate the layers.
For context, manually identifying tracks from a SoundCloud mix typically takes 30 to 60 minutes of painstaking work: Shazaming individual segments, searching forums, posting in Reddit threads, and hoping someone recognises the track. TrackRadar delivers a comparable result in under a minute.
Profile-Level Analysis
